Leonard Lopp  (1888-1974)


Henry Leonard Lopp was born May 1, 1888, in Highmore, South Dakota. He was a student of Prof. P.J. Rennings, Robert Wood, and Prof. John Updyke.
In the 1920’s he was staff artist for the Hudson’s Bay Company. In 1928 he had an art gallery in Portland Oregon. He moved to Great Falls Montana in 1936. Lopp was staff artist for Glacier National Park.  He died in Kalispell Montana in 1974. He was considered one of Montana’s finest artists.
